Madison wrestling fans who want to see the Bulldogs in action will have a chance to watch them at home twice before the season gets done. The 2016-17 schedule had the Bulldogs on the road for the most of the season.
The Bulldogs were to wrestle three times at home - in the Madison Invitational Tournament, a quadrangular on Jan. 17 and Madison Square Garden Night on Feb. 9.
Unfortunately, the Madison Invitational was canceled due to poor weather conditions, cutting the number of times the Bulldogs wrestled at home.
Wrestling fans should mark their calendars for Jan. 17, when Dell Rapids, Elk Point-Jefferson and Dakota Valley will be in town. The other home match is a dual against Sioux Falls O'Gorman on Feb. 9.
The Bulldogs will be in action close to home before the State Tournament for individuals wanting to see them.
The Dakota XII Conference Tournament will be held in Lennox on Jan. 21, and the Region 1A Tournament will be held at West Central, both in driving distances for Madison fans.
And, the State Tournament will be held in Sioux Falls this year.
