What a fantastic season for the Madison Lady Bulldogs tennis team! They placed sixth in the State Tournament, and every singles players and every doubles team won at least two matches.

All but one singles players placed in the top eight, while every doubles team placed in the top six.

Madison and St. Thomas More were the only two Class A teams that placed in the top 15 at the State Tournament.

It wasn't that long ago when it was a big thrill for the Lady Bulldogs to win one or two matches at the State Tournament. Now they are placing in the top 10.

One thing that has led to the great success of the team is the summer program, where the students are playing tennis and competing in tournaments throughout the area.

MHS Coach Robb Graham has put his heart and soul into that summer program, and it is starting to pay great dividends.

Madison will lose three quality seniors to graduation: Eleonore Valente, Ella Graham and Lacee Fedeler. If they can find players who will be able to fill their shoes, the Lady Bulldogs might be able to stay in the top 10; and to do that, they will need to participate in the summer program.
