Knisley, Nelson married

Nicole Kathleen Knisley and Allen John Nelson were married on June 13 at St. John Lutheran Church in Madison with the Rev. Shelly Gehring officiating.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, Scott Knisley, wore a strapless white charmeuse, trumpet style Alfred Angelo gown accented with lace floral designs and crystals on the bodice.

The maid of honor was Angela Tieman, and matron of honor was Ashley Abbas. Bridesmaids were Cassie Tompkins, Carrie Theis, Kylie Salmen, Chantelle Lenser and Amanda Brown.

Jamie Hawk was personal attendant for her sister.

The best man was Kenny Mellem, and groomsmen were Ethan Abbas, Shaun Daggitt, Mike Kindt, Jesse Northern, Jeremy Fry and John Nelson, brother of the bridegroom.

The flower girl was Adrianna Olson, and ringbearers were Maxin and Merrick Carroll, nephews of the bride.

Ushers were Dean Hansen, uncle of the bride, and Dusty Johnson.

Readings were given by Thonya Bergeron. Guestbook attendants were Cassie Cudmore, sister of the bride, and Nick Barger.

A reception, hosted by Dean Hansen, was held at Nicky's Restaurant. Music was provided by Sioux Falls DJ Squad.

The bride is the daughter of Scott and Nicole Knisley of Madison and Maxine Longcrow Knisley and Roger Albertson of Nunda. The bridegroom is the son of John and Connie Nelson of Canistota. Special guests attending the wedding were Marion Knisley, grandmother of the bride, and Alva Pedersen, grandmother of the bridegroom.

Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple are at home in Rapid City. The bride is a graduate of the University of South Dakota and works as a sales associate at Bath and Body Works. The bridegroom attends USD and is a police officer with the Rapid City Police Department. He is also a sergeant in the Iowa Army National Guard.
