Question: How can I tell if my dog needs it's teeth cleaned?

Answer: Can you look at your dog's teeth? If they are not pearly white - that is, yellow or dark plaque on the teeth - then yes, they do need to be professionally cleaned. If you aren't sure, we offer free dental exams. If not properly cleaned, outcomes include gum disease and loose or abscessed teeth. When abscessed, chewing pushes bacteria into the blood which can lead to heart or kidney disease. February is Pet Dental Health Month and we offer 20% off dental cleanings. After the cleaning, you need to start doing home dental care to keep the teeth clean.
