Madison School Board adds new MHS teacher to recent hires

The Madison School Board approved a last-minute teaching hire for the high school’s instructional staff when the board members provided their OK for personnel changes during Monday’s meeting.

The board members approved adding the hiring of Jeff Hugge to the meeting agenda. Superintendent Vince Schaefer said Hugge was hired as a social studies teacher at Madison High School and an assistant track coach.

The school board also approved other hiring requests: Kelsey Smith, fifth-grade teacher and basketball cheer coach; Stephanie Moore, high school counselor; Erin Reidel, Title I teacher; Jonathan Forster, temporary summer tech; and Carlos Gonzales, custodian.
