Two area tracks held races last weekend, Jackson Motorplex
in Jackson, Minn., and Casino Speedway at Watertown.
On Friday night area sprint car drivers were battling in a
couple of classes at Jackson Motorplex. In the MSTS 360
sprint class three area drivers were slinging mud in the
B-Feature with Madison's Chuck McGillivray gaining the best
finish as he placed seventh in the race.
Crossing the finish behind McGillivray was Ramona's Ryan
Bickett in eighth and Madison's Dylan Opdahl in ninth place.
Bickett was seventh in his heat while Opdahl placed ninth.
Winning the A Feature was Jack Dover.
Bickett competed in the Racesaver Sprint class also on
Friday night. He was 13th in the A Feature and sixth in his
heat race.
Brant O'Banian won the the A Feature for the Racesaver
Sprint class.
Casino Speedway
Six area drivers paid a visit to the Casino Speedway on
Sunday night.
Two of the area drivers competed in the Missota Modified
class with Dusty Sietz of Madison finishing 17th in the A
Feature. Following Sietz across the finish line was Matt
Jeratowski in 18th place. Winning the A Feature was Tyler
Peterson of Hickson, N.D.
In the race Jeratowski was sixth and Sietz was seventh.
Heat race winners were Peterson, Matt Gilbertson, Watson,
Minn., and Kent Arment of Aberdeen.
Madison's Doug VanLiere was piloting his Wissota Super Stock
machine at Casino Speedway and placed 11th in the A Feature
while Madison's John Hanneman didn't finish the race.
In the heat races VanLiere was fourth and Hanneman was
fifth.
Winning the A Feature was Huron's Cole Searing. Trevor
Nelson of Warner and Searing claimed heat race wins.
Nick Barger was competing in the Wissota Midwest Modified
class and piloted his 14H to a seventh place finish in the A
Feature and a fourth place in his heat race.
Winning the A Feature was Searing while Troy Randall of
Watertwon won the B Feature. Claiming heat race wins were
Mike Nichols of Watertown, Scott Hanson, Garden City and
Scott Harrington, Waubay.
Matt Goth competed in the Wissota Street Stocks and placed
seventh in the A Feature. Winning the A Feature was Tyler
Lamb of Clark.
